How Did Blondin Cross Niagara Falls On a Tightrope? November 11, 2010. Jean Francois Grandet, who performed under the name of Blondin because of his flowing blond hair, was the daredevil supreme. In 1859, he had a three-inch rope strung 1,1000 feet across Niagara Falls, 160 feet above the raging waters. Balancing himself with a 40-foot pole, the intrepid Frenchman pedaled over the Falls on a bicycle. One of his most fantastic feats was to walk halfway out on the brightly lighted rope aft.

Waterfall Farm is nestled in one of the most beautiful parts of Wicklow, the Glencree Valley. This 100 acre farm is owned by young, full-time sheep farmer Michael Keegan and his wife Hannah.
